I have been a die-hard supporter of Manchester United for the last 16 years. Over time, we have had an equal share of good and bad times. Today’s match was a win but I feel that we won by luck. Most of the players are in good form but we have also seen others not perform in this match.

Paul Pogba

I always enjoy watching Pogba play. He has a very smooth game and I bet he enjoys himself at the pitch. On several occasions, he has proven his worth to the team during this game. My favorite moment was his tackle against Adama Traore. Man, I get goosebumps every time Traore possesses the ball. But Pogba has severally eased my heartrate by taking back possession.

Raphaël Varane

He has proven his worth in this match. His position as a center-back has saved us from several goals tonight. Wolverhampon is a very aggressive team and their offensive game is commendable. I honestly believe that Varane has played a crucial role in ensuring tonight’s clean sheet. He has made some impressive tackles against Traore and Neves just to mention a few attackers from Wolverhampton. Mind you, he made the assist that has won us the match.

 Jadon Sancho

I know and understand that adapting to a new team is not easy. I mean, football enthusiasts can agree with me that English football is different. On this note, I understand that it will take time for Sancho to adapt to football dynamics at the EPL. But, I also acknowledge that he was not in top form tonight. Despite leaving the pitch for Antony Martial, I felt that the substitution should have been made earlier. Maybe we have had more goals. I just hope he can adapt fast and make the game more interesting in the future.

David De Gea

One of my favorites at Old Trafford. As usual, he did not disappoint us tonight. Wolverhampton was, with no doubt, more aggressive than we were. But De Gea has managed to maintain a clean sheet in an away game. Corner kicks freak me out the most. I mean, did you watch that close save made by De Gea? Amazing. That was a commendable job.

Mason Greenwood

I remember Greenwood during the firsts matches for Manchester United. He was a reputable player but it took him time to adapt. This has allowed me to cut Sancho some slack and give him the benefit of doubt. Tonight, Greenwood was on fire, I mean literally. Haha! Did you see that wide attempt he made using his left foot? He later claimed our victory by scoring the only goal at the 80th minute and increases the pressure and tension through the remaining 17 minutes.

Overview

Everything considered that was a very interesting game. I never thought it would end in one goal though. I acknowledge Wolverhampton’s aggression and resilience and believed it would get them a goal or two. But I never lost confidence in my Old Trafford boys and Manchester United. I look forward to CR7’s debut in a few weeks. I hope you do too. If you loved this overview please give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends.
